Roadshow 2: “Climate Change – How will Vulnerable Groups Weather the Storm?” · 2 hour session ·
Informative presentation on climate
change · Group discussions on the impact on vulnerable (“equality”) groups and delivery of key services

Voluntary sector groups and social
enterprises who deliver services to vulnerable members of the community ·
Individuals who feel more vulnerable

What Climate Change means for the
community where we live · How climate impacts might affect: §
Vulnerable people in the community § Our work in supporting those least able to cope ·
The equality issues that need to be considered
in any public sector contingency planning For
example, if there is an ‘extreme weather event’ such as flooding or heavy snowfall in our town: o Who will help the elderly and disabled get to safety and how? o
What are the implications of strangers
living together in emergency accommodation? o
Does Climate Change offer new opportunities
as well as challenges?
