HIEF Advisory Network
Group (ANG) Policy
A new Advisory Network Group (ANG) was established in May 2005 as a development of the work done by HIEF’s initial
advisory group. The ANG offers a flexible and informal relationship between HIEF and a network of advisers as a good way for
HIEF to ensure that it is taking responsible measures to ensure the accuracy of its information and the relevance of its direction.
What does
the Advisory Network Group do?
- It gives expert advice on HIEF output
From time to time, HIEF might need to approach one or more ANG members with specific questions to check accuracy of
information for dissemination. It is important to note that the responsibility for the accuracy of any information disseminated
remains with HIEF.
- It makes sure HIEF is aware of the national agenda
ANG members ensure that HIEF receives a flow of news and information that will ensure awareness of all pertinent issues
and the current direction of the Equality agenda.
- It comments on HIEF strategy
The ANG will be consulted on the draft of each HIEF annual project plan so that their specialist views will help define
the priorities for the project to address going forward.
